The Restaurant opened in 2006 by husband and wife team Tom & Michaela Kitchin on Edinburgh’s stylish waterfront.

Dining at The Kitchin is relaxed but welcoming with the food in focus. The passion of Tom and Michaela and their entire team shine through in what they deliver; quality and consistency.

Razor Clams (Spoots)
Razor clams from Arisaig, cooked to order and served with diced vegetables, chorizo and lemon confit £16.00

Scallop
Hand-dived Orkney scallops baked in the shell, served with summer vegetables and a herb white wine sauce £18.00

Sea Trout
Tartare of wild sea trout from Usan, served with diced apple and a lemon creme fraiche £15.00

Pig’s Head & Langoustine
Boned and rolled pig’s head, served with roasted tail of langoustine from Anstruther, and a crispy ear salad £17.00

Bone Marrow & Snails
Roasted bone marrow, served with sauteed Devon snails, Bayonne ham and Perthshire girolles £16.00

Seared wild halibut from Scrabster served with red pepper piperade, diced chorizo, olive and pickled garlic £29.00

Turbot
Poached wild turbot from Scrabster, served with braised fennel and artichoke a’la grecque £31.00

Lobster
Whole grilled lobster from Newhaven cooked Thermidor style, served with buttered samphire, sea spinach and sauteed squid £32.00

Lamb
Rack of Dornoch lamb served with crispy shoulder and ratatouille style vegetables £31.00

Pigeon
Whole roasted French squab pigeon served with braised peas, lardons, lettuce and abats beignets £32.00

Fillet of Scotch beef Wellington from Aberdeenshire, served with local girolles, peas and a red wine sauce £68.00
